Family Retreat Crew...

Hello!!!! This is a pic of our "CIT family" from this last weekend! It was definitely a very busy weekend... working 16 hour days! (with a little bit of dutch blitz, chloe's dancing, frisbee and devos mixed in) It was a sweet group of people to get to work with! Thanks again to those of you who were here... you guys did amazing!! God really is bringing together 2 incredible groups of people this summer! one more thing... only 37 days till CIT 1 starts!!! (and 73 till CIT 2!!) see you all soon!!!!! ps- read Isaiah 40! A bit of encouragement for you all!!

Howdy Guys =D

So, I guess if you're reading this you are kinda wondering about me? Well, i'm 15 and I live in Nanaimo. I signed up for C.I.T. after a week in dish pit totally threw me last summer. I originally went to camp to just have fun and play with a kid who had asked me to come be staff at his juniors camp after meeting me at Family retreat , maybe learn a little here and there. After my second night at camp I knew that wasn't going to happen, that this week was going to be so much more. In the end, it took me seeing that I had more to learn, even more than the kids, and learning, is exactly what occurred. I found a fire within myself, burning for these kids, a drive to change lives. I have found that I can connect with the kids and become a position of respect and trust to them and have relationships with them that help them to see how God changed my life. After having my life changed and having this change not just affecting who I was, but everything about and around me, I decided to apply for C.I.T. because this wasn't somthing that I was going to be keeping to myself, and to think....all this because of a single junior camper.....God is amazing =)

Hey everyone! My name is Charlotte and I'm pretty stoked for CIT this summer!! I heard about Qwanoes through church friends and leaders and decided to do CIT before I'd ever even been to the camp. I think what I'm most excited for is getting to know everyone and learning a ton of new, cool stuff. :)
So a little bit about me...I've lived all over the place: Vancouver for 2 years, England for 4 and a half years, California for 8 years, and Nanaimo for almost 2 years now. I really love the island because it's full of glorious nature and I go to a super awesome church, TMP. My life is full of music!! I play jazz piano, classical piano, and keys for my church's music team. I also love listening to other people's music--all kinds, but especially indie music and other really musically vibrant stuff. I love dogs, God, running, math, and other good things like those. I was raised in a really wonderful Christian family but my relationship with Jesus started when I was about 13 years old and that's when I really started following Christ. I love having God in my life and am so excited that he has given me the opportunity to do CIT this year!

All About Abby

Hey, everyone!

I'm Abby I am turning 16 this June and am extremely excited to hopefully take part in CIT this summer. I currently go to a boarding school on the island which is a lot of fun. I am a complete sports freak. My favorite thing to do is to play some volleyball! I also love soccer, hockey, baseball and basketball. I also enjoy fashion design which I having been taking all year long. Being outside is the best place to be, doesn't matter where. Being outside at camp at summer will be amazing. I have a full interest of spreading my faith among friends and campers. I am looking forward to meeting some great people.

Huge Prayer Request

Hey Everyone,
So I feel it's safe to ask for prayer for a really close friend of mine. She's had a really hard life growing up, and recently her mom has been really sick. She is a Christian, but is finding it hard to find God right now aswell as just not having the strength to face reality. If you guys could pray for both her and her mom that would be amazing and I would really appreciate it and so would she.
